Passing by

Encased in my cocoon.
Here I am warm, I am safe, I'm alone.
The world passes by.
The sounds drift through the walls.

The world calls me.
It urges me to enter it.
To leave my sanctuary.
My place of solitude.

My mind wanders.
To places far, exciting, unfamiliar.
To journeys I have not yet traveled.
Memories drift into my mind.

My past catches me.
Reminds me of the places,
Of the people that I love,
It wishes me to go to them.

Encased in his arms.
There I am warm, I am safe, I am home.
The night can pass us by.
Mornings first rays drift through the walls.
