Honesty is confused with lies.
You do not wish to see the truth.
You think that I don’t understand,
That I can’t see what it’s like for you.
But I understand completely,
I feel the same way almost exactly.
Is it so hard to believe,
That I might be hurting to?
I hide my pain, but so do you.
You say that “we all are hurting”,
This is a fact, I am aware.
But every time you spit these words,
I feel, I know you do not care.
How can you tell me I don’t listen?
When I speak you do not hear.
I hear exactly what you’re saying,
With each word, afraid, in fear.
We’re fighting for the same conclusion.
Battle, equal, unvarying, cold.
With words we cut and hurt and maim.
This war, with words, we choose to mould.
But we must continue fighting.
Though our same cause, unchanged.
Did you delete my comment?? I just meant that you say that when people fight they say the same things but they don't. If they fight it means that they disagree on something. If you must call it taking sides.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I feel bad, so this is the exact same comment:
ReplyDelete"Can this person you write about ever realize what they did wrong or do they pretend they care and then laugh behind your back? You both seem to want the same thing yet you are fighting for different causes, why is that? Don't you want to be their friend? Will you show them this poem an hope they understand because all you are writing in is anger, This person will become angry too, are you really helping them or just venting out your anger?"
