Does it matter if he loves me?

So he says, he loves me.
Is it true?
Does it even matter,
If I don’t feel the same way?

He’s sweet and kind and caring,
But, is that enough?
Should I give him a chance?
Or should I pass him by?

Is he simply infatuated,
Or does he truly feel the way he thinks he does?
Should I have done things differently,
Or did I treat him right?

He sometimes seems too close for comfort,
Smothering me with what he says is love.
But does it matter if he loves me,
If I can’t feel the same?

  3. That depends on how you will react to it, will you love or will you walk away from it. Can, let me rephrase that, WILL you be able to not regret what you decide? It's not only in love, people decide something and in the end they regret it. Lingering and waiting, hoping for that second chance when it's no longer possible. Don't make some mistake you think you can change, but you can't.

  4. Whether it matters or not is up to you entirely. If I were you I'd imform them that they possibly don't feel that way, and depending on how they act you should respond accordingly. Finally, your last phrase "If I can’t feel the same?" pretty much says you have no hope or will to do anything about it. Although, that could just be artistic license;) I hope this has helped, assuming this was based on someone of course. Otherwise good work.
